Themed Shoot | L’Auberge St-Gabriel

3 days ago,I was asked to be the Makeup Artist for a Wedding themed shoot promoting  L’Auberge St-Gabriel as a wedding destination ,but when I was asked 2 weeks ago by Lovely Charlotte Laurent (Wedding PR for l’Auberge St-Gabriel) if I wanted to be responsible of creating the  Hair and Makeup look for our wedding couple,I had no idea about the fabulous Wedding specialists team she had put together and the exquisite result that was to follow…..When I got at L’Auberge early in the morning,I took a quick look at the venue and the decor for the shoot ….(I thought hmm…)…..I started unpacking my bags and had a sip of coffee, then smiled for a while,I knew right away it was going to be an amazing day ! The  whole shoot was inspired by the Great gatsby ,peacock blue, gold, silver and tangerine tango touches,so for Hair I went for a romantic and vintage style,as for Makeup, I wanted to recreate a bit of the  splendid decor created by Vanessa Sicotte ,so I used a peacock  palette with a pastel feel on our lovely Bride Cindy Laverdière with blues, purples, silver and golden pigments by MAC and added falsies on the edges to intensify and open up her beautiful eyes. After hydrating the bride’s skin with -the must have- face cream Rêve de Miel by Nuxe, I used a liquid foundation by Make Up For Ever with the least powdering possible (Powder fx) to get a flawless and glowing texture, added to that contouring and a touch of shimmery blush by Nars on the cheekbones for a luminous result.Oh and let me tell you about the culinary design created by Leslie Passerino ,it was a true eye candy ! I have no words to describe the breathtaking moments captured by photographer George Mavitzis and IOAN films team who are Masters, yes Masters in their field .I am very glad and proud to have worked with such a passionate team, the energy was just delightful! When you put together such an amalgam of  talented people on your wedding day and let their respective creativity dance together, the result cannot be other than …MAGICAL ! They say an image is worth a thousand words, well, see for yourselves…
